- 1st Kidney transplant apart from CMC, Vellore, in the whole of South India in 1979 by Dr. S.V.Kandasami.
- In 1986 we started Endourology for the 1st time in South India; since then, we have done more than 20,000 Ureteroscopy cases and 6,300 Keyhole Surgeries (PCNL) for Kidney Stones.
- The First Shockwave Lithotripsy in South India was performed in our hospital in 1994.
